    Accessibility Statement

    Conformance target

TaxKiln Australia targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as a release gate, not a polish task.

    What's in place

    • Semantic HTML (header, main, nav, article, section, footer)
    • ARIA labelling on icon-only and interactive elements
    • Keyboard navigation throughout — all interactive controls reachable and operable without a mouse
    • Skip-to-content link as the first focusable element
    • Glossary term hover-definitions accessible via keyboard focus (Radix Tooltip primitives)
    • Calculator result cards announced via aria-live="polite" regions
    • Sufficient colour contrast in both light and dark themes
    • Responsive mobile layouts; tap targets ≥ 44×44 px
    • Reduced-motion respect via prefers-reduced-motion

    Known gaps / in progress

No known AA gaps at time of last review. Calculator chart visualisations carry textual equivalents below each chart for screen-reader users. If you find a gap, please tell us.
